The Saudi Ministry of Communications & STC Launch a Bold AI and Digital Transformation Initiative

The Saudi Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), in partnership with the Saudi Telecom Company (STC), has unveiled a groundbreaking digital transformation initiative designed to position the Kingdom as a global leader in the AI-driven era.

Supported by the National Program for Technology and Automation, the initiative is expected to roll out over 10 mega AI transformation projects across strategic sectors, including tourism, public safety (Digital Police), sports, and culture. Business Excellence, together with its team of AI experts and engineers, is in advanced discussions with the Ministry to design and execute some of those projects.

Unlike many global contexts where AI remains confined to limited consumer tools such as ChatGPT or Gemini, Saudi Arabia aims to redefine AI’s strategic role. The Ministry’s vision is to transform AI into a national enabler of Vision 2030’s pillar of an Ambitious Nation — embedding intelligence, automation, and innovation into the fabric of industries and governance.
